The article speaks about repairing appliances in a downturn economy. Fast forward to 2018 and we still see a strong trend to people wanting to repair rather than replace either to maintain aesthetics in a set of matched set of appliances, hold on to a trusted appliance that they know does a better job than most replacements would or simply to save money or keep the landfill free of a unit that still has useful life.
